Dear Auntie Betty,
I’m a student in JHS Three. I am in a relationship with a man who has a wife and a child.
He, however, does not live with his family. I have decided to stay away from him because he is far older than me.
Because of this decision, I have refused to pick his calls and anytime I’m sent on errands, I make sure I do not run into him so I have changed all the routes that will make me bump into him.
He told me I am the only girl he loves but I usually see him in the company of girls yet, when he sees me with a male friend he gets angry.
Though I think about him sometimes, I want him out of my life. Please advice me.
Worried Girl,
Kumasi
Dear Worried Girl,
You have taken a good decision to break this relationship.
I’m glad you have taken a wise decision because what you are engaged in now is very bad and your parents would be very sad and ashamed of you if they should get to know.
What you’ve begun is good but you need to do more. It is likely he will try to coax you to change your mind and will also do everything possible to see you.
So arm yourself before you are taken by surprise.
Should you meet him in the neighbourhood tell him you are no longer interested in the relationship and if he keeps pestering you, you will inform your mother about it.
Be strong and do not be one of his victims.
My dear worried girl, it was very bad to have begun that relationship because you have no business dating a married man.
You should be ashamed of yourself for doing that; make sure you never repeat it.
You should be concerned about your education and make sure you do so to the best of your ability. Share Your Thoughts on this article Name Email Location Comments Graphic Ghana may edit your comments and not all comments will be published
