Items needed
Cooking pot, a colander, a bowl or a small basin, sieve and your sources of heat.

Ingredients;
Millet, fresh cow milk or milk powder, sugar, salt (optional), water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. You first wash your millet and later soak it over night.
  2. The next morning you drain the water out of it and then take to the mill for it to be grinded into a rough or course texture.
  3. Then you bring out your cooking pot with water to boil on the fire.
  1. Then you take a cup and fetch some of the millet into the sieve and use your hands to roll it vigorously over them until you are able to form tiny balls.
  1. As your water gets heated, you then the pour the tiny ball millet into the colander and place as a lid on your cooking pot and the use some of the millet with water to form a thick paste. Use that paste to plaster around the colander and the cooking pot to prevent the vapor from escaping.
  1. Now cover your colander tightly and allow the steam or vapour from the hot water to soften it and make sure you turn from time to time to ensure it uniformly cooked. And leave for some time.
  1. When the whole tiny balls become soft and well cooked, you pour into a basin and allow it to get cold. When it gets cold, please pour fresh cow milk and mix them together.
  1. You can also use milk powder mix with water to form a milk drink and then add your cooked millet to it. Then you add a little sugar to taste and some ice cubes or ice blocks to make it cold n chilled. Stir and serve whiles chilled.
