"We have never seen this before" - Ho Presiding Member hails MCE's seven completed projects

The Presiding Member of the Ho Municipal Assembly, Hon. Mawunyo Agbe, has lauded the progress of work in the municipality following the 3rd General Assembly Meeting held in Ho.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Hon. Agbe described the remarks delivered by the Municipal Chief Executive as spot on, saying they gave a clear account of his stewardship over the past months.

"The MCE's remarks today were spot on. They accounted for stewardship for the past months and almost a year and a half, and we have seen enough progress," he stated.

He disclosed that the MCE reported seven projects which have been fully completed, commissioned and are currently in use, describing it as a record achievement for the Assembly.

"I have been part of this Assembly for some time and I have not seen such projects commissioned within this short period," Hon. Agbe emphasized.

According to him, the progress is largely due to the timely release of the District Assemblies Common Fund, with about 70 to 80 percent of the fund released to assemblies, which he said shows appreciation for the President's commitment to local development.

He commended Assembly Members for their diligence and oversight responsibility, noting that they do not shy away from scrutinizing documents and asking difficult questions.

"We are not shy of the truth. As difficult as it may sound to technocrats, even to the Chief Executive, that is the kind of legislature we have at the Ho Municipal Assembly," he said, adding that the Assembly will in the coming years focus on commissioning more projects as several road and other development projects are underway across the municipality.
