There are many Ghanaian Radio stations in London and Holland and it is unheard of a radio station which hosts a Ghanaian show in the New York, NJ, Philadelphia e.t.c areas. One person in New York is doing his best to have his own show making Ghanaian voices heard. This person is comedy legend and also currently the funniest Ghanaian comic who has and continues to keep Ghanaians laughing with his great jokes. Known in private life as Nana Twum Barimah, Nana Dr. Rokoto recently released a gospel CD-album, held a comedy concert which included “Waterproof” and was the Master of Ceremonies at this years' infamous mother of all picnics, the New York picnic.
He and his Asempa Production Company now host Radio Ghana, a talk show on 93.5 FM Station which began on air August 24, 2004 and would be on air in the New York metropolitan area every Tuesday evening, 9PM-10PM.
The one hour talk show discusses; social, domestic, health issues and blend with comedy. This was made known to Mr. Charles Nimmo N. Mensah aka Mr. CNN of Ghanaweb when Mr. CNN visited him at his store; Rokoto Market in the Bronx, NY. As you know the ace comic is good at what he knows best so be prepared to laugh to the fullest.
Nana Dr Rokoto is talking to a reputable African-American Immigration lawyer to help Ghanaians with immigration and other legal issues on the show. Stay tuned for more info.
