As Ghanaian singer Efya marry Nigerian musician Tomi Thomas, attention has shifted to the man who has largely remained outside the Ghanaian entertainment spotlight.
Thomas is a singer, songwriter and performer whose music combines Afro-pop, R&B, hip-hop, soul, reggae and dancehall.
He first attracted attention as a member of Nigerian music collective Loud On Sound, popularly known as LOS, before embarking on a solo career.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 9, 1992, Thomas reportedly spent parts of his childhood in Kano and Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States.
He is also said to have Yoruba, Igbo and Brazilian ancestry, a multicultural background believed to have influenced his musical identity.
Although details about his early education remain limited, reports indicate that he attended school in Lagos and Kano before moving to Atlanta.
He later relocated to Dubai for university, where he reportedly studied at Middlesex University while developing his interest in music.
Thomas began his professional music career in 2010 as a member and lead vocalist of LOS.
The group gained attention with songs such as Bad Guy P and On Fire, and reportedly attracted collaborations with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie and American music group Black Eyed Peas.
In 2014, he released his debut solo EP, Patience, featuring the single Ready or Not. The project marked a significant step in his transition from group performer to independent artiste.
Since then, Thomas has continued to develop his sound and work with artistes across different musical backgrounds.
His international collaborations include Jamaican reggae and dancehall star Buju Banton and American rapper Wale.
Despite his growing musical profile, Thomas has maintained a relatively low public profile regarding his personal life.
His relationship with Efya, born Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, has also largely remained private.
The couple's romance became a subject of public interest following reports of their families' traditional knocking ceremony on February 14, 2026.
Now, as they prepare to formalise their union, Thomas is attracting increased attention from Ghanaian music lovers eager to learn more about the man who has won the heart of one of the country's finest vocalists.
