Nana Akua Addo Breaks Down in Tears as She Closes Lagos Fashion Week Runway

Nana Akua Addo made an emotional runway debut at Lagos Fashion Week 2026, moving audiences to tears as she closed THE SEVON DEJANA BRAND’s “Out of Body” showcase in an all-white wedding gown.

The Ghanaian fashion influencer received a standing ovation at the Federal Palace Hotel tents, marking her first major public appearance since videos showing her with facial injuries surfaced online.

Reflecting on the moment, Nana Akua described the runway finale as symbolic of both an ending and a new beginning in her personal journey.

Her appearance comes weeks after she announced her separation from husband Harold Norman following public allegations of domestic violence. The announcement accompanied a video of her Lagos Fashion Week walk posted on Instagram.

The separation followed reports that she was allegedly assaulted and hospitalised. Nana Akua later petitioned the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), accusing her husband of physical, emotional and economic abuse.

For many observers, her tears on the runway represented more than a fashion statement, symbolising the close of a painful chapter and the start of a new one.
