Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has said the pressures of fame and public criticism sometimes leave her emotionally overwhelmed.
Speaking in an interview with CNN, the actress said she occasionally cries and locks herself away to deal with the challenges of being in the public eye.
“I cry. I lock myself in the room, cry, break down, and hit the bed. But I just pick myself up and come back to life,” she said.
Akindele also admitted that public criticism sometimes makes her question her decisions and worry about how people perceive her.
“Sometimes I tell myself, you've made a mistake again. How are people going to judge you?” she said.
However, she noted that she has learnt to overcome such moments and move on without allowing public opinion to define her.
