“Lord Kenya advised Terry Bonchaka to seek spiritual protection but he ignored the warning” – Reagan Mends reveals

Former manager of the late Ghanaian musician Terry Bonchaka, Reagan Mends, has revealed that veteran rapper Lord Kenya once advised the young musician to seek spiritual protection, but he allegedly ignored the caution because of his religious beliefs.

Speaking during an interview on Class FM, Reagan Mends recounted that Lord Kenya shared his personal experiences with Terry Bonchaka and urged him to take precautions, claiming that someone had previously attempted to take his life during his music career.

According to Reagan Mends, Lord Kenya told Terry that he had also been an artiste and had encountered a situation in which someone allegedly tried to kill him. He explained that he had taken steps to protect himself and advised Terry to do the same.

However, Reagan Mends stated that Terry Bonchaka, who was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, did not heed the advice because of his religious convictions.

Beyond the revelation about Lord Kenya’s alleged warning, Reagan Mends also recounted a strange experience involving the team while travelling to an event at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

He disclosed that the team encountered multiple flat tyres during the journey from Accra to Kumasi. According to him, the situation reportedly occurred again on their return journey to Accra, leaving the experience as a memorable incident from their travels.

Terry Bonchaka, known for his energetic performances and distinctive musical style, was one of Ghana’s promising young musicians before his life was cut short in 2003 at the age of 21 following a performance at the Akuafo Hall Week celebrations at the University of Ghana.
