Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has assured veteran musician Slim Buster that he has no intention of disrespecting him, while appealing to him to end the ongoing online exchanges involving fans.
In a message directed at Slim Buster, Shatta Wale expressed surprise at how events unfolding on social media appeared to be affecting the veteran musician. He suggested that information from other people might have influenced Slim Buster's decision to engage in online exchanges with fans.
The On God hitmaker insisted that he had no reason to fight or disrespect Slim Buster and urged him not to perceive him as the person responsible for the situation.
“Whatever anyone may have told you might have triggered your decision to engage in these online battles with the fans. But I want you to understand one thing from today: I will never come at you with disrespect or hostility,” Shatta Wale stated.
He further explained that his fans are loyal to him and may find it difficult to forgive Slim Buster because, according to him, they had neither heard nor seen him directly disrespect the veteran musician.
“My fans are loyal and won’t forgive you since they never heard or saw me come at you,” he added.
Shatta Wale urged Slim Buster to put an end to the exchanges and take time to understand how social media works, emphasising that not every comment made on the internet deserves a reaction.
He also cautioned against allowing social media narratives to create unnecessary misunderstandings between them, suggesting that both musicians should approach the situation with maturity and mutual respect.
Concluding his message, Shatta Wale stressed that his intervention was not intended to generate trends or attract public attention but was rather a sincere piece of advice from a younger brother to a senior colleague.
“This is not for trends but a little advice from a younger brother to the senior,” he said.
