Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has announced a GH¢50,000 cash reward for some of his fans who helped clean the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of his ShattaFest 2026 concert.
The musician made the announcement while addressing patrons at the ShattaFest concert held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 17, 2026, expressing appreciation to the fans for their efforts in ensuring the venue was ready for the event.
The gesture follows an incident that drew attention to the commitment of members of the Shatta Movement, who reportedly participated in cleaning the stadium after a programme organised by the Assemblies of God Church.
The church hosted the 10th Triennial World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress in Accra from October 14 to 16, with activities taking place at the Accra Sports Stadium and Independence Square.
Following the religious gathering, some Shatta Wale fans reportedly took it upon themselves to clean the stadium in preparation for their idol's concert, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring the venue was ready for the highly anticipated event.
Shatta Wale's announcement of the GH¢50,000 reward appears to be a gesture of appreciation for the fans' efforts, particularly their willingness to contribute to preparations for the concert beyond simply attending as patrons.
The development adds another dimension to the relationship between the musician and his fanbase, popularly known as the Shatta Movement, whose members have consistently demonstrated their loyalty to the artiste.
ShattaFest 2026 took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 17, bringing together fans for a night of music and entertainment as part of the musician's birthday celebrations. The event was presented by P Mobile and HOTWAV, with Shaxi, WAYA and MTN MoMo listed among its sponsors.
The GH¢50,000 pledge is expected to be welcomed by the beneficiaries as recognition of their contribution to the successful preparation of the stadium for the concert.
