Stonebwoy disagreed with Sarkodie’s call for artistes to stop disrespecting each other because he believes Sarkodie himself should first address the behaviour of people close to him, according to DJ Slim.

Speaking on his ‘Street Is Watching’ podcast, DJ Slim explained Stonebwoy’s position in the ongoing tension between the two artistes.

“The only part there was a problem was when he was addressing artistes; that is where Stonebwoy says, ‘I do not agree with you on that part,’” he said.

According to DJ Slim, Stonebwoy understands that Sarkodie may sometimes use other people to express concerns he cannot directly raise himself.

“According to you, you understand that side of him because sometimes when there is an issue you can’t go forward and say it, so you push him forward to go say it, then later you sit down secretly with the person and talk it out,” DJ Slim explained.

The disagreement, therefore, was not necessarily about Sarkodie speaking against disrespect in the industry. Stonebwoy’s issue was with the people Sarkodie chooses to associate with while making such a call.

DJ Slim said Stonebwoy believes Sarkodie should apply the same standard to those within his own circle.
