Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste Stonebwoy has reaffirmed his commitment to using music as a tool to promote and serve the interests of Ghana, stressing that the ultimate purpose should always be Ghana.
Speaking to gospel musician MOGmusic, Stonebwoy emphasised that their musical efforts are not driven by personal interests alone but by a deeper sense of responsibility to the country.
“We are doing this for Mother Ghana. It can never be that it’s not for Mother Ghana,” Stonebwoy told MOGmusic.
He further stressed that music must always come first when the goal is to contribute positively to the nation, suggesting that personal differences, individual interests and other considerations should not overshadow the bigger national purpose.
According to the award-winning musician, “music is always first for Mother Ghana and not else,” highlighting the important role artistes play in shaping Ghana’s cultural identity and projecting the country to the world.
