
The management of Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has announced the cancellation of Shattafest UK following reports of a serious incident outside the event venue.
In an official press statement, the Shatta Movement Empire described the development as deeply heartbreaking, stating that the difficult decision to call off the concert was made with the safety and well-being of patrons as the highest priority.
According to the statement, management received reports of injuries and an alleged loss of lives connected to the incident. While expressing profound sympathy to those affected, the team noted that it is awaiting official confirmation from the relevant authorities regarding the full details of what transpired.
"Our hearts are with everyone who has been affected by this tragic situation," the statement said, adding that thoughts and prayers remain with the victims, their families, friends, and everyone impacted.
Management emphasized that Shatta Wale has always sought to unite people through music, bringing joy, hope, and unforgettable memories to his fans. It described the transformation of what was intended to be a night of celebration into one of pain as devastating.
The statement also appealed to the public and the media to avoid speculation while investigations are underway, urging everyone to rely only on verified information as authorities work to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
The Shatta Movement Empire expressed gratitude to emergency services, security personnel, medical teams, venue staff, and all individuals who responded swiftly to assist those in need.
