Medically cleared applicants still under recruitment consideration – Ghana Police Service

The Ghana Police Service has assured applicants who have completed the medical examination stage of its ongoing 2025/2026 recruitment exercise but are yet to be invited for document validation that they remain under consideration and will be processed in subsequent batches.

In a statement issued on Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Service explained that the recruitment exercise is being conducted in phases, with successful applicants invited in batches to designated centres nationwide for document verification.

According to the Police, the validation exercise is aimed at confirming the authenticity of applicants' academic certificates, examination results and other credentials submitted during the recruitment process.

The Service said the first batch of successful applicants has already been invited and is currently undergoing the verification process.

It, however, reassured applicants who have not yet received invitations that they have not been excluded from the recruitment exercise.

"All other applicants who successfully completed the medical examination and have been declared medically fit but have not been invited for validation are in the recruitment pool for consideration in subsequent batches," the statement said.

The Police further disclosed that the recruitment exercise will continue in phases until 2028, in line with its recruitment schedule, and urged applicants to remain calm and patient as the process progresses.

The Service also cautioned the public against misinformation surrounding the recruitment exercise and warned applicants not to pay money to individuals claiming they could influence the recruitment process.

The statement, signed by the Director-General of Public Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, advised applicants to rely solely on official communication from the Ghana Police Service for updates on the exercise.
