Prophet Eric Boahen Uche, founder and leader of Reign House Chapel, has responded to critics who have been mocking him over a prophecy he made about Ghana's national football team, the Black Stars.
The man of God explained that his prophecy, which was made about four months ago, revealed that the Black Stars would lose all their World Cup qualifying matches. However, he insists that many people misunderstood the spiritual message behind his prediction.
Speaking on the matter, Prophet Uche stated that after the prophecy was made public, he invited members of the Black Stars management and technical team to meet with him so that spiritual interventions could be carried out to alter the outcome.
According to him, some leaders responded to the call and met with him privately. Following the meeting, he undertook spiritual exercises on behalf of the team and sought divine intervention to reverse the negative outcome he had foreseen.
The prophet disclosed that he subsequently declared a three-day period of fasting and prayer for the Black Stars, believing that the spiritual exercise would help change the team's fortunes and enable them to secure victories.
Addressing those who have questioned his prophecy following the team's recent performances, Prophet Uche maintained that prophecies can be altered through prayer, faith, and divine intervention. He argued that the positive results being enjoyed by the team should not be used to ridicule him.
"I am not a small prophet that people can simply troll," he reportedly stated while defending his prophetic ministry and spiritual credibility.
Prophet Uche further revealed that he would not disclose the identities of the leaders who approached him after the prophecy. According to him, certain spiritual matters are confidential and not everything should be discussed publicly.
He emphasized that there are many behind-the-scenes actions that take place after prophecies are given and that the public is often unaware of such interventions.
