The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for a man captured in a viral video allegedly assaulting a suspect who had been arrested over an alleged offence.
The Police Service has condemned the incident, describing the conduct as unacceptable and contrary to the law.
According to the Service, efforts have been intensified to identify and apprehend the individual involved in the assault.
The Police said once arrested, the suspect would be put before the court to face the appropriate legal process.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are also being investigated, with the Service assuring the public that anyone found culpable would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
The Police have appealed to the public to remain calm as investigations continue and efforts are made to apprehend the suspect.
