British-Nigerian singer and songwriter Talay Riley dies at 35 over stabbing

The music industry is mourning the tragic loss of British-Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Talay Riley, who has died at the age of 35 following a fatal stabbing in East London.

According to the Metropolitan Police, officers responded to reports of a stabbing incident in the Silvertown area of East London at around 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5. Emergency responders found Riley, whose real name was Mark Orabiyi, suffering from stab wounds in the garden of a property near Rayleigh Road. Despite efforts by paramedics to save his life, he was pronounced dead. Authorities have since launched a murder investigation into the incident.

Police confirmed that three individuals were arrested in connection with the case. A 27-year-old man was later released on bail pending further investigations, while a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were released without further action.
