The Ghanaian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following reports of the death of celebrated actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo.

News of her alleged passing began circulating widely across social media on Sunday, after an emotional tribute believed to have been shared by her husband, Choirmaster, born Eugene Kwadwo Baah of the popular Hiplife music group Praye.

In the heartbreaking message, Choirmaster expressed deep sorrow over the reported loss of his wife, describing her as the pillar behind his joy, strength, and purpose.

“My heart is shattered beyond words over the death of my beloved wife Beverly Afaglo,” he reportedly wrote. “It would have been just like four more days to your birthday but I guess the Lord wanted to celebrate with you so He called you.”

He continued by reflecting on the special bond they shared and the impact she had on his life.

“You were my strength, my happiness, and the reason my life felt complete. Every moment with you was a blessing I will cherish forever,” part of the tribute read.

The emotional message further revealed how deeply devastated he remains, as he noted that he could still hear her voice encouraging him.

“I am hearing your voice right now cheering me up as always, my number one fan. I promise to take care and continue everything we planned and started. Until my last breath, you will remain in my heart forever. Sleep well my babe,” he added.

Choirmaster also described the late actress as a “legend,” stating that her passing is not only a painful loss to him and their family but also to the many fans and loved ones who admired her throughout her career.

Meanwhile, fellow Praye member Praye Tietia reportedly confirmed that Beverly Afaglo had been battling an illness for several weeks, although relatives and close associates remained hopeful about her recovery.

According to him, the family is expected to release an official statement in the coming days regarding the circumstances surrounding her passing.

Born on May 28, 1983, Beverly Afaglo became one of the recognizable faces in Ghana’s movie industry through her vibrant screen presence and outstanding performances in several local film productions.
