TGMA26: Wendy Shay wins big at 27th TGMA

Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay added another major achievement to her music career after emerging winner of the Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year at the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

The prestigious awards ceremony, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, celebrated outstanding achievements in the Ghanaian music industry and brought together some of the country’s biggest stars for a memorable night of entertainment.

Wendy Shay’s victory comes after a remarkable year of consistency, hit releases and strong performances that kept her among the most talked-about female artistes in Ghana. The RuffTown Records signee beat competition from other top Afrobeats and Afropop artistes to secure the coveted award.

Over the years, Wendy Shay has built a reputation as one of Ghana’s leading female musicians, known for hit songs like "It's too late", "African King", "Crazy Love" with Olivetheboy, "Apology" with Mavado.
