Ghanaian rapper, Lyrical Joe, says he is not happy about the limited number of nominations he received for the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
In an interview on Asempa FM, he said he was only nominated for Best Rap Performance despite releasing what he considers a strong album, titled 'I Am'.
“I was only nominated for Best Rap Performance. TGMA did not try for me,” he said, adding that his album deserved a place in the Album of the Year category.
Lyrical Joe noted that he filed for multiple categories but missed out on most, questioning why others with the same songs appear in several categories while he does not.
He also cited a similar experience in previous years, saying concerns raised then were ignored.
Despite this, the rapper remains optimistic, stating he will continue to work hard for broader recognition in future.
