Ghanaian actress Vicky Zugah has candidly shared her personal journey with celibacy, revealing how the decision has significantly affected her dating life.
In a revealing account, the actress disclosed that she chose to take sex off the table in any relationship she finds herself in, a decision she has strictly upheld since December last year. However, according to her, the experience has not been easy.
Vicky Zugah explained that within the four-month period from December to the end of March, she has interacted with at least 10 different men, both through physical dates and online conversations, but none of the connections progressed into a meaningful relationship.
The reason, she says, is simple: her firm stance on celibacy.
According to the actress, most of the men initially appear understanding when she communicates her decision. However, the situation changes once they realize she is serious about abstaining from sex for a period of time.
She noted that many of them eventually lose interest and disappear without any explanation.
“When you tell them, they don’t take it seriously at first. But when they realize you really mean it, they vanish,” she indicated.
