Multiple award-winning Ghanaian artiste Black Sherif has received his third nomination at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.
The 2023 BET Best International Flow award winner has now been nominated in the Best International Act category.
He is set to compete with artistes such as Tyla (South Africa), Rema (Nigeria), Any Gabrielly (Brazil), Ayra Starr (Nigeria), Basky (UK), Uncle Waffles (Eswatini), Ezra Collective (UK), Joé Dwèt Filé (France), MC Luanna (Brazil), and SDM (France).
Black Sherif won the International Flow category in 2023, beating out AKA (South Africa), Central Cee (UK), Gazo (France), J Hus (UK), K.O (South Africa), Major RD (Brazil), Ninho (France), Sampa The Great (Zambia), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
Before that, Black Sherif was nominated for the same award in 2022 but lost to Gabonese rapper Benjamin Epps.
Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, has quickly risen to become one of Ghana’s most influential and globally recognized musicians.
Known for his unique blend of drill, highlife, and Afrobeat, he gained international attention with hits like Second Sermon and Kwaku the Traveller.
