Nollywood actress Chika Ike has addressed recent rumours about her relationship with Nigerian politician, Prince Ned Nwoko, denying claims that he is the father of her unborn child≥
She also dismisses the idea of becoming his seventh wife.
Taking to Instagram on February 18, 2025, Chika Ike shared images from her pregnancy photoshoot while firmly denying the speculation. She explained that, although she has kept silent on many rumours in the past, she felt it was important to address this one to protect her unborn child's reputation.
“There have been all sorts of lies peddled about me in the media for years, but I always treated them like what they are, rumours that need no response. But this is different; this is about my child; except I choose to disclose. Yes, I'm that private!” she wrote.
Chika Ike further clarified that Ned Nwoko is not the father of her child, adding, “Ned isn't the father of my child, and whoever's name you might come up with later in your guessing games, is wrong.”
In her post, the actress also made it clear that she has no intention of marrying Nwoko. “I've said before, I'm not about to be anyone's seventh wife! Polygamy isn't for me,” she stated. She also emphasized how private she has been about her pregnancy, noting that no one knew about it until she made the announcement.
Meanwhile, Prince Ned Nwoko also stated on February 17, 2025, denying any plans to take Chika Ike as his wife, putting an end to the speculation.
