Ghanaian rapper Amerado has made a strong case for his inclusion in the 2024 TGMA Artiste of the Year conversation, describing any discussion that excludes him as a clear show of ignorance about the industry.

The rapper, known for his versatility and consistency, took to social media to share his impressive 2024 performance catalogue, highlighting over 80 shows both locally and internationally, hit singles, features, and notable achievements throughout the year.

“Artiste of the Year conversation without Amerado under the 2024 year of review is an exposure of ignorance and consequently brutal to the industry and upcoming ones,” he wrote, urging industry stakeholders to take note of his contributions.

Amerado’s catalogue lists 70 local shows, including performances at major events such as the MTN Pulse event at KNUST, Afrochella, and the Asafotufiam Festival, as well as 10 international shows across Europe and the United States.

His international performances included stops in Dusseldorf, London, Chicago, and New Jersey, where he headlined the Ghana Music Awards Nomination Dinner.

The rapper’s achievements for the year include being featured in a BECE examination question with his hit song Kwaku Ananse, receiving Audiomack certification for hitting 100 million streams, and being played in Al Nassr’s dressing room.

Amerado also earned significant media attention when his song was played as the entrance song for President Nana Akufo-Addo during Ghana’s Independence Day celebrations.

On the musical front, he released several hit singles, including Abro Noma, Date Rush, and Ankonam, with features from Sista Afia, Shatta Wale, and Eno Barony.

His catalogue further outlines a series of nominations — 27 in total — and three awards won over the period.

Amerado also took pride in hosting the My Motherland Concert in December, capping off a remarkable year filled with both milestones and accolades.
