Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has opened up about her traumatic experience after a severe accident left her with lasting injuries.
Recalling the incident, McBrown shared that her right arm was severely damaged, leading to multiple surgeries.
In an interview with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, McBrown revealed that she has undergone four surgeries — three in Ghana and one in Germany.
To stabilize her arm, doctors inserted metal plates and screws, which she says cause her ongoing discomfort.
Despite the constant pain, McBrown remains grateful for her survival and the lessons it taught her.
“I have endured a lot of pain. I have had surgery on my right arm four times. I can stretch it, but over time, the pain returns.
“I will be undergoing another surgery soon, and I hope it will be my last. I have metal and screws in my right arm, so any slight movement can cause them to shift, break, or come out, requiring me to fix it again.
“I have had three surgeries in Ghana and one in Germany. When I see the scar, it reminds me of how unpredictable life is. If a situation doesn’t kill you, just heal and move on,” she said.
The actress first encountered this life-altering experience on January 30, 2013, when she was involved in a car accident on the George Walker Bush Highway near Lapaz reported to be around 2am.
