Popular Ghanaian rapper Elorm Adablah, known by his stage name E.L, says all musicians should learn how to produce their own beats.
In an interview with AJ Sarpong on Accra-based 3FM Lounge, E.L discussed his musical journey and career.
The rapper and producer explained that creating your own beats allows artists to directly translate their musical ideas instead of working through another producer.
"I have told this to all my friends, the earlier you start learning how to produce your own beats if you are a musician, the better," E.L stated.
"I have gotten through a few of them and they realise like its so much easier to bring out the idea directly yourself than to go through to someone," E.L added.
E.L's career in music began at a young age singing in his church choir.
He later joined a rap group called Skillions during his time at PRESEC secondary school.
Through continuous musical experiences, E.L found himself performing on stage and eventually producing his own songs.
