My son believes I'm the one who cares, provides for him while God does nothing for him

Ghanaian musician Mzbel has opened up about her son's perspective on spirituality, revealing that he does not pray to any conventional god but sees her as his provider and caregiver.

Mzbel disclosed that her son has a different approach to seeking support or assistance.

Instead of turning to the heavens in prayer, he directly approaches her whenever he needs something.

The musician shared this aspect of her son's beliefs, emphasizing that her son sees her as a god who cares for and provides for him.

During the interview, Mzbel expressed her views on spirituality, mentioning that she doesn't believe in a conventional god as well.

However, she shared that she goes to her late mother's altar to make requests, and in her belief system, she receives answers to her prayers.

The revelation comes after Mzbel's son, Okomfo Black, discussed his views on religion in an interview.

In a community where Christianity and Islam are predominant, Okomfo Black and his family are tied to traditional and ancestral worship.

Okomfo Black challenged the existence of the Almighty God, asserting that “every being is a god, and there should be no special recognition given to any supreme ruler.”

His assertion that his mother provides for him while God does nothing for him, generated some controversy among Ghanaians.

Some parents of his schoolmates are reportedly taking steps to sideline him due to his unorthodox views on spirituality.
