Multiple-award winner, Kwaw 'Abodam' Kesse, has returned from the United States saying, the one month away from home had been restful and useful for him. Watch Wo Se Mbaa Pewo by Kwaw Kese
“Everything went well. I performed only once in Los Angeles but I saw a lot of shows and learnt some things which I believe would help me with my shows,” he said to Showbiz last Tuesday.
Incidentally, Kwaw's first outing on his return has nothing to do with his showmanship was a rapper. He will model clothes for the Exopa Modelling Agency at a show to be telecast live on TV3 on Friday, June 27.
He will, however, get back into his real element at a show at the La Beach in Accra on July 1. He is the headline act at the programme being staged by the Entertainment Revolution company.
“It will be his first major gig since he won honours at the MTN Ghana Music Awards 2008,” said Kwaw's manager, Finnick. “It would be a great time on the beach.”
Kwaw Kesse left Accra on May 7 for a month's visit to the United States, saying he needed time to cool off after a very busy year of studio recordings and live shows.
Apart from being declared the Artiste of the Year, Kesse also won awards for Hiplife Song of the Year, Hiplife Artiste of the Year and Hiplife Album of the Year. His Mad Time Entertainment label was also adjudged the Record Label of the Year.
