Songstress, Mzbel has affirmed her allegiance to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
She said she can never be a fan of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), no matter the situation.
In an interview on Accra-based UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, July 8, the singer said she was born into the NDC and nothing could change her stance.
“I am an NDC fan but I have no position in the party. I have been a member of the NDC throughout my life. Where I grew up, everyone is an NDC member. That is the only party I know no matter what happens. Whether they break my heart or not, I will still vote for them or will never vote at all,” she said.
Mzbel said even though she had campaigned for the NDC in the past and received criticism, she would continue to support the party with a new approach.
Her campaign efforts were to help the party win power and not to secure a position for herself, Mzbel noted.
“I campaigned for the party some time ago not to seek for a position but to help my party win power. After that experience, I have decided to restructure my approach on how to support my party because I received a lot of attacks,” she added.
The “16 Years” singer has been an avid supporter of the NDC helping to promote the party’s messages and candidates during elections period.
Her declaration of lifelong allegiance comes as the NDC prepares to unseat the ruling NPP in the 2024 general elections.
