‘I’ve lost ‘vim’ in mentoring any artist again but I’m not afraid to help people’ — Stonebwoy 

In a candid revelation, renowned Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has lost interest in mentoring upcoming artists due to past experiences with ungrateful ones.

The artist made this admission during an interview with Amansan Krakye on Cape Coast-based Property FM, where he shared insights into his evolving perspective on artist mentorship.

Stonebwoy acknowledged that he no longer holds the same level of "vim" (enthusiasm) to actively mentor and support emerging musicians.

During the interview, Stonebwoy said, "It goes on constantly, and I can mention a lot of names right now, but we all saw what happened and all of that, so there's a huge issue with our system."

“Because of that, there are so many things and investments that can go wrong coupled with too much stuff that can make you lose vim," he added.

He highlighted the importance of careful strategizing and the need to be cautious when considering future mentoring opportunities.

Despite his reservations, Stonebwoy made it clear that he is not afraid to continue assisting individuals who genuinely require his support.

He stated, “When something makes you lose vim and to be able to do it again you have to be careful to strategize but I’m not afraid at all and I’ll always continue to help people.”
