Movie acting was probably in the DNA of Ghanaian celebrated actor Majid Michel.

The actor has posited that he has never once dreamt of quitting or complained of being tired of acting movies.

Majid, who claimed to have been addicted to the profession, said he cannot picture himself being called a former actor while he is still alive.

"No…never! It never even crossed my mind at any point. That means that is not what you were called to do. I can never think of quitting," he said in response to a question about whether he would ever consider doing so.

He emphasized, "I have so much love for film, and that’s what I wanted to do. I like action films, so I did martial acting. If you ask George Quaye, he will tell you to tell—that was drive. There was no such thing like I’m tired or I’m stopping."

Being ushered into the limelight after playing the role of Shaker in Farmhouse Production’s TV series, "Things We Do for Love," the actor has taken his prowess to prominence.

He was adjudged the "Best Actor in Africa" at the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Awards due to his incredible roles in countless movies on the African continent.

He is one of the casts in colleague filmmaker Yvonne Nelson’s latest movie, "Kotoka," which is slated to be premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra on February 14.
