When Tic Tac, the Ghanaian Hip life superstar, took delivery of his long awaited but worth-waiting-for video for hit song Kangaroo recently nominated for African Pop Song at the forthcoming GMA Awards.
The video directed by the internationally acclaimed video director, Gill Green who directs music videos for massive artistes like Akon, Brandy, Busta Rhymes and 50 Cent. All indicators pointed to the fact that the young and energetic chap would surely go places with the song.
Tic Tacs historic video for his hit song Kangaroo has secured its place at the most enviable position on the MTV Base Countdown; number one.
Speaking to Tic Tac on his position on the prestigious MTV Base Countdown Chart, he remarked that it is a dream come true because for my song to become the hottest demand by about forty eight million people in ten million five hundred thousand homes across Africa, I think Ghana music and Hip life to be precise, is getting to cross boundaries .
He stressed that my spot at number one is also my ticket to have my music video shown on the MTV network worldwide.
Asked about rumors in circulation that he is in the studio with Busta Rhymes, the American Hip Hop superstar, working in collaboration on a song he said I would want to comment on that at the right time.
The Kangaroo man is due to embark on a world tour starting in Europe, to promote the current release Accra Connection.
