Born the third of six children to a retired evangelist and his praying wife in Ghana, West Africa, Daniel Tetteh Nettey is a landowner of the nation's capital. He started writing songs at the early age of six, playing the organ without any formal lessons.
He was heavily influenced by his father's love of Blues and the vibrant musical culture of his native people. His interest in music persisted throughout his school days in Accra Academy, where he served as Music Director and President of the local Scripture Union Fellowship.
After "BL3OO" days, He joined a group of young talented song ministers whose calling was to the youth especially those in Secondary Schools. The activities of the then up and coming Gospel Ministers circled around prayer, study of the word and song ministry.
By this time, He was writing songs which were being ministered in his local church. He answered God's call for him to minister in songs to the nation and beyond and started his own group called "Danny Nettey and Pals". Through this group He continued in what he knew best to do; taking the message of the Gospel to the Secondary schools and ministering in churches across West Africa.
In 1995, He released his solo debut album 'Positive Change', which did very well with Ghanaian youth. In 1996 another album, this time with the Pals, was released. Through this second album a ministry by name 'It's About Time Productions' was birthed. Its main goal was to train and produce talented young song ministers in Ghana and West Africa.
He has traveled extensively throughout Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Over the past ten years He has been touching lives through the ministration of God's word through songs, with many testifying to God's saving and healing power as a result of his inspiring ministrations.
He has been featured on the same bill as Internationally Renowned Gospel Artists and Pastors such as Ron Kenoly, Bishop T. D. Jakes, Ron and Bebe Winans and Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton, Don Moen, and Alvin Slaughter.
He hopes to remain a blessing to the body of Christ and the world at large. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you DANNY NETTEY!!!! Catch him live on the 25th of December, 2014 at the Trinity Baptist Church as he celebrates the 10th anniversary of his annual concert dubbed "CHRISTMAS WITH DANNY NETTEY & FRIENDS.
