Amongst many talented individual artistes, there can be no other like this personality. Who in his outstanding technique in handling highlife music is blowing out the minds of many?
Truly, he was a subject of uncertainty since all wondered the kind of mystique he will be using in outweighing the level on the market.
He has truly in his extravagant creative ways, helped in uplifting the musical culture. Well as the saying goes that, “He who paves way for the great, paves way for his own greatness”. He has sure made it with kings.
He is in the person of Theophilus Kofi Nti, born on the 25th January, 1980 and comes from Aburi in the Eastern part of Ghana.
This talented young man was born to Mr. Owusu Ansah and Mrs. Doris Afrakoma. Exactly and uniquely as the law of reproductively from God holds, they are three siblings in the family.
This includes himself and two additional brothers namely Kwadwo Dankwah and Osei Frank. Seriously, it was after his term in the Secondary Cycle Institution that he begun his journey into the musical world.
It all begun with his musical inspiration with the well-known star Okyeame Kojo Kum. It all seemed well until it came to a point of separation where he had to take his own path when Okyeame Kojo Kum heeded to the call from the Last 2.
His enthusiasm to become a musician became stronger each second and this prompted him to release his first album in the year 2002 titled 'Wake up'.
With the help of Kriskan Music Production as the management, Appietus of Cre8tive records, Ato at studio A and others at the DKB studios as the enginners, it was a term of true relief for the young star since response was encouraging.
He prepared another attack on the industry, which by confession is sweeping off the airwaves and is blowing out the minds of many. The album namely 'Rakia' featured some of Ghana’s most renounced best artistes namely K.K Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, and Isaac Mensah Obeng (Barosky).
Here, the talented artiste now under the management of Big Ben and again engineered by one of Ghana’s most renounced enginner, Appietus, is ready to hit the limit unreachable by many artistes.
Throwing more light into his private life, he explained that he is single but rather has a girlfriend whom he shares ideas. Seeing his musical career as his ultimate priority, he focuses much of his life activity there.
Using this medium, he will like to acknowledge his role model in the person of Ofori Amponsah; the well recognized contemporary highlife general.
Kofi Nti, now one of Ghana’s best in contemporary highlife music apart from staying in the studio working, has the interest in activities like reading and playing table tennis. He also has the taste for white colours because of its sense of purity.
His further expectation however is to establish his musical field into the international market and take Ghanaian music to the international world. Concluding, he said all should expect the best and always pray for Ghanaian music to have a firm stand in both the local and international “world”.
