Hip-life artiste, Asem has paid a visit to the residence of the late President John Evans Atta Mills to present a copy of his tribute song as well as its video to the bereaved former First Lady, Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills.
The song Dear John (Damrifa Due) features Hi-life legend, Pat Thomas and was produced by Genius Selection.
Speaking exclusively on Cruise Control on Hitz FM with Kwame B, the young artiste described the late President as a simple man of peace who had a good sense of humour.
He said “even though the Regimanuel Estate on the Spintex road had different class of buildings, his house is a very simple one, his neighbour's compounds are even bigger than his and this should show you how simple the late President was.”
Asem disclosed that, the video for the tribute song was shot near a wall at the Kaukudi Park which had peace messages painted on it by the Nima Art Foundation, made up of a group of young talented artistes in Nima.
The video had pictures of several hands coming together as a symbol of unity with the flags of the NDC, NPP, CPP and other political parties conveying the message of peace.
The Bye Bye hitmaker took the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to come together and stand for peace for the upcoming elections in December.
