Eddie Kadi Thrills Fans In Ghana

By Daily Guide

UK comedian, presenter, actor and MC Eddie Kadi, on December 29, 2011 thrilled Ghanaians with rib-cracking jokes and stories none could resist, causing endless laughter all night at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra.

He treated the audience to an exciting night of comedy, with EL and friends who supported with some live musical performances.

The event was put together by BBnz Events Company and emceed by Ghana's exciting comedian DKB, who took some time off his job on the night to delight patrons with his creative jokes.

He used the night to display superb originality and the audience showed appreciation to his creativity and stage performance.

Eddie, who in 2006 won the BECA Award for Best Comedy Newcomer and went on to stage a series of sold-out solo concerts – two of those during 2009 at the indigO2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IndigO2 , created jokes out of the war in his home country, D R Congo.

He said Congolese, during the war, slept and snored with both eyes fully open because there were always gun shots here and there and they couldn't sleep.

He asked the audience how Ga's said 'how are you' and the audience responded, 'Te oyo tee'. But he said he understood that to mean 'Toyota.' That got the crowd laughing, but that was just a tip of the iceberg.

He also treated the audience with funny jokes about how the international media gave premium to the kidnapping story of Nigerian soccer star Mikel Obi's father.

He got the audience holding on to their ribs when he called for the need to start kidnapping forecast just like weather forecast in most media.

This, he jokingly said, would help people restrict their movement to areas where such kidnappings were on the rise.

He also took advantage of the Azonto season and did a few steps with Fusion of Tiffany 'Azonto' fame. He performed with him and remixed Tiffany's version of the song. Indeed it was an exciting night.

There were also live band performances by EL, Efya, Young Daba and Wanluv the Kubolor, who started the evening with a rendition of some of his new songs. Efya was as usual her best, just as EL, who climaxed the show.

Eddie has also released a 4 disc DVD collection, and completed numerous radio, television and film projects.
