The Kpando Heart of Lions and Berekum Arsenal's 23rd week GT Premier League encounter ended 3-2 in favour of Lions at the Kpando Sport Stadium on Sunday.
Lions made victory certain before their vociferous home fans with two first half goals to send the crowd into early jubilation. Lions scored first in the 35th minute through Sadat Bukari who controlled a long pass from Godwin Yeboah in the midfield before displacing Tuah Asare Thomas in goal for Arsenal to hit the back of the net.
In the 42nd minute, Dramani Haminu scored the second goal for Lions after a counter attack from a corner kick against Arsenal.
Alex Asamoah of Arsenal pulled a goal back for his side in the 67th minute in the second half after making light work of Lions defender Kweku Andoh.
Lions increased the pressure on the visitors and went ahead to score their third goal in the 74th minute when Sadat Bukari headed the ball past the advancing Arsenal goalie.
In the 81st minute, Ibrahim Yahaya scored Arsenals second goal through a free-kick just outside the Lions 18 yard box.
