Ghana set for Swazi test as qualifiers begin

Milovan Rajevac has told players to stay focused as they get ready for the opening 2012 African Nations Cup qualifying against Swaziland, a first competitive international for Ghana since the end of the World Cup.

He is demanding that his side work to capture their place in the finals of the competition and also sounded to his players to remain humble.

Black Stars who reached the finals of the last tournament in Angola and followed it up with a quarter-final finish at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will eagerly look for signs of a good start to the campaign.

Qualifying for the finals of the Nations Cup in 2012 is Rajevac's top priority and the coach's selection for the game in Lombamba on Sunday has been boosted by the availability of Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The AC Milan player has shrugged off a knock to put himself in contention for selection after training with the rest of the team on Saturday at the match venue.

Ghana, though playing away would be seeking a positive result in a group that also includes Sudan and Congo.

Rajevac, who guided Ghana to silver in the last Nations Cup in 2010, has picked two uncapped players as he's welcomed a host of his World Cup stars back into the squad.

Jordan Ayew, 18, and Asante Kotoko's goalkeeper Isaac Amoako are the only debutants in the team.
