Trump throws CIA chief Ratcliffe under the bus with deep state ‘false claims’

President Trump's push to undermine trust in the midterm elections by claiming China had a role in his 2020 loss has put one of his most trusted aides in an awkward position. John Ratcliffe, Trump's current CIA director, was serving as the DNI from May 2020 to January 2021 and oversaw the President's Daily Brief and other intelligence to Trump. That's the period during which President Trump says he was the victim of the far-fetched and unproven plot by U.S. spy agencies that he described in his primetime speech last week.
