Thousands of families in the Rif Mountains rely on cannabis cultivation, yet most live in precarious conditions. The most productive land is owned by a handful of large operators who are gaining greater control of the industry. But this is not the only challenge. Cannabis farmers are also facing increasing pressure from climate change and water shortages.
