Newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Obuasi Ashanti Gold, Emmanuel Frimpong has revealed that he wants to make the club one of the biggest in the country.

The 24-year old has been appointed to replace Frederick Acheampong who resigned from the CEO position last week after citing personal reasons.

Speaking to Kumasi FM as he officially starts work today, Emmanuel Frimpong who is the son of Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has shared that it is his goal to make the club great while helping players achieve their goals as well.

“I wasn’t surprised by my appointment as the CEO for Ashgold, it’s a big task but I know we will get it done with enough support.

“My dad [Dr. Kwaku Frimpong] is one of the smartest guys and he knows I have the capabilities to do the work, my appointment was on merit.

“There is nothing man cannot do on earth with determination. I want to make Ashgold one of the biggest clubs in Ghana and make Ashantigold players the best in achieving their goals”, Emmanuel Frimpong indicated.

Frimpong who has managed businesses of his father in the past will work directly under him in hopes of fulfilling the above-mentioned goals.
