
Accra Hearts of Oak has shared that they are saddened by the passing of their former defender Jonathan Oti Ankrah as they mourn with the family of the deceased.
The defender, popularly called ‘Joe Dakota’ passed away in the early hours of Thursday, April 2020, as news of his death sent the football fraternity into a state of grief.
In a post on Twitter, Hearts of Oak has mourned the player and has sent their thoughts and prayers to his family.
“Everyone at Hearts of Oak is saddened to hear of the passing of our former player Jonathan Oti Ankrah (Joe Dakota).
“He was a pillar in defence at the club during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this grievous moment”, the message read.
