Former Accra Hearts of Oak forward, Kwame Kizito says he has no interest to rejoin his former side and have insisted that he eyeing a career in Europe after receiving offers from Sweden.

Kizito, who is currently without a club and is back in Ghana to sort out what he claims are issues with his birth certificate.

Reports have emerged that the 27-year-old have expressed interest in rejoining his former side.

However, speaking to Graphic Sports in an interview, Kizito claims that he has been misinterpreted as seeking a return to Hearts, insisting he was looking beyond Ghana football.

“A reporter asked if I loved the club and I said yes because Hearts have been my team since I was a small boy. Then he asked again if I would return to the club and I said if they bring an offer and my manager or agent accepts it, I would not have any choice than to go back and join Hearts of Oak,” explained Kizito said.

He added: “The fact that I said I loved Hearts does not mean that I want to return to the club. I already have a contract in Sweden but I have issues with my birth certificate and that is why I am still here. I was supposed to join Thomas Abbey to his new club in Malaysia, but as I said earlier, there are problems with my birth certificate which I am working on.”

Kizito enjoyed a breakthrough career with Hearts during the 2016/17 season, netting 13 goals as the club finished third in the Ghana PremierLeague and reached the FA Cup final for the first time in a decade.

He was also an integral part of the Black Stars B squad that won the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament held in Ghana in 2017.

The forward failed to agree on a new deal with the Phobians after his contract ran out at the end of the 2016/2017 season.

He later joined Al Ittihad on a three-year deal but terminated the contract with the Libyan side in October 2018.

Although Hearts made attempts to keep their star man, he rejected their offer and secured floating status from Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association, which made him a free agent to sign for any club of his choice.
