Kumasi Asante Kotoko deputy captain Eric Donkor has been released from the club following the opening of the second transfer window.
Donkor’s contract runs out at the end of last season and was strongly linked with a move away from the club. despite repeatedly committing his future to the club.
The defender was previously a mainstay in the Kotoko setup but has struggled to cement a starting role in the team over the past few months.
The 25-year-old spent 7 years at the club, winning 3 league titles and 2 FA Cups during that period.
