Michale Osei has stated that it was his ambition to one day coach his idol club Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Michael Osei joined Asante Kotoko from Okwawu United in the late 1980's and as a coach, he joined the technical bench of the club in 2013 from New Edubiase United as the assistant coach.
However, the opportunity presented himself to be named as the acting coach of the Porcupine Warriors to replace David Duncan who was asked to step aside when the club had a poor start to the season.
Michael Osei has indicated that the Kotoko coaching job is something he dreamt of years back.
'It was my aspiration to play for Asante Kotoko as a player and it came to pass. Also when I started my coaching job it was my dream to one-day coach Asante Kotoko, so doing it now is a dream that has come true,' he told Angel FM.
Although Michael Osei after he took over from Duncan returned Kotoko to winning ways and lifted themselves from the drop zone to 3rd place after the first round, the team are struggling in the second half of the season, having won 2 games in 8 league matches played in the second round.
The poor results necessitated the appointment of veteran trainer Malik Jabir as Osei's technical director, prior to the match day 23 fixtures.
