Black Satellites striker Dauda Mohammed feels his dream of landing a lucrative deal during the 2017 U20 Afcon in Zambia is shattered following their 3-2 aggregate slip to the Young Lions of Terrenga of Senegal.
Ghana won by a lone goal on Friday but failed to secure a ticket to the continent's youth fiesta due to the first leg 3-1 loss to their Senegalese counterparts in Dakar.
And the Asante Kotoko forward has revealed bthat his dream of securing a better deal outside Ghana during the even in Zambia next season is shuttered.
'I feel a little down because you all know that as a young player, it is the national team that will give me exposure to better contracts outside,' Dauda noted in an interview after the game.
'The tournament could have offered us a better platform to sell ourselves to the international world but that dream is shattered.'
'We give thanks to God for everything but I must confess we are hugely disappointed,' he added.
The 2009 U20 world champions have missed out on the tournament on two occasions since 2007 with the 2009 event being the most successful.
