Accra, Feb. 28, GNA - The Goldstar Consult in partnership with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) has organized its maiden Annual GIMPA Health Walk And Fun Day.
The event drew about 300 participants including the Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuije and other seasoned musicians started from the GIMPA main entrance, through the Tetteh Quarshie Roundabout and back to the school.
The 5km health walk was designed for GIMPA students and Management to socialize and exercise their body and also to raise funds to support one of their students Eric Ohemeng who suffered acid burns from the girlfriend.
The Minister Designate for Sports after the health walk promised to take full charge of the acid victim and also to get GIMPA a basketball court ahead of the UPAC championship where GIMPA has set a meeting with the defending champions Accra Polytechnic.
The Deputy Rector of GIMPA Prof. Philip Osei Duku expressed excitement for a successful event and congratulated the sponsors for their immerse contribution.
The Rector emphasized the health effects of exercise and walking and further reiterated the need for the GIMPA community to embrace it.
CEO of Goldstar Consult, Mr. Samuel Anim Addo said that the event is in line with the mission and vision of the GIMPA community in providing a platform for a dynamic, social and healthy lifestyle aside delivering world class education.
Goldstar Consult are noted for organizing the Stars Soccer Fiesta- an Annual Charity event which brings together the national football team players and other international stars to play against local musicians, movie stars and other celebrities.
