Swedish giants AIK Stockholm have refused to release versatile Ebenezer Ofori for Ghana's U23 final round return leg qualifier to the 2015 All Africa Games this Sunday against Mozambique, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
AIK say they are not obliged to release the former New Edubiase United for the international assignment since it is not sanctioned by FIFA.
Also, they have a crucial match against Malmo FF this Thursday in the second week of the Swedish top-flight.
Ofori is regarded a key player for AIK in his third season for the club.
On Monday, he played in the holding midfield role for his side as they beat Halmstad in their season opener.
Ghana lost 1-0 in Maputo three weeks and want to assemble their in-form foreign based players to overturn the deficit.
