Returnee: Ex-Black Stars defender Dan Quaye: Still up to task

Dan Quaye has assured all football loving fans that he will put up the very best of performance in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The 34-year-old ex-Black Stars defender joined his former club, Accra Gt. Olympics, against the backdrop that a section of the fans have tagged him as a veteran.

Dan Quaye has therefore stated that he knows how fast football is progressing in Ghana and has really prepared to face the changing trends.

 'I left Ghana and played six seasons in the Chinese league and one needs to be energetic in order to play there," he said.

'I know of how the young boys have been playing well of late in the local league, but I have what it takes to equally do well by capitalizing on my experience.

'The young ones sometimes wonder, if I am still like them because I always work above myself during training sessions and games.'

Dan Quaye was part of the Hearts of Oak team that won treble of CAF Champions League, FA Cup and league titles in 200 and proceeded to win the CAF Super Cup in 2001, before helping them win the maiden CAF Confederations Cup in 2004.
