Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) has signed an endorsement agreement with Black Star player Andre 'Dede' Ayew for the 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be staged in Equatorial Guinea next month.
As part of the endorsement deal between the Marseille winger and Samsung, the player will work with the company on several promotional activities under the company's “Go after your dreams “campaign.
The first of such promotions was at the Accra Mall and West Hills Malls on December 26 and 27 respectively.
For these two days, Dede will signed autographs for consumers sporting a Samsung device or customers who purchase an item from Samsung partner shops like Game, i2 and Telefonika at the Accra Mall and Palace, Compu Ghana and Telefonika at the West Hills Mall.
Patrons of the selected shops will also have the opportunity of taking photographs with the footballer.
Samsung believes Dede Ayew's great success and global visibility in one of the world's most popular and competitive sports aligns with Samsung's desire to encourage all individuals to go after their dreams.
Dede Ayew's commitment to top quality football is in perfect harmony with Samsung's commitment to deliver quality hand-held devices and home appliances.
Samsung has been a long standing supporter of sports globally and is one of the key sponsors of AFCON.
In Ghana, the company has been involved in several grassroots sporting initiatives including the “Dream the Blue's” campaign in partnership with Chelsea Football Club.
